The world’s
finest wardrobes,
under one roof.

A considered edit of pieces from the designers we admire most. We travel, we source, we handpick — quietly, and only what we would keep for ourselves.

The Practice

An edit, not a catalogue.

We do not carry seasons in their entirety. Each garment on Listening has been chosen for the weight of its cloth, the intent of its cut, and its ability to hold its shape after ten years of wear.

What arrives on this site is what we would keep for ourselves.

Tailoring — a study in weight and drape

Chapter I

Tailoring

Softness — cloths cut for movement

Chapter II

Softness

Material — the hand of hand-knit cashmere

Chapter III

Material

We choose our mills before we choose our designers. Everything begins with the hand of the cloth.

The Edit

What we look for.

Our edit moves across disciplines rather than seasons. Categories and inventory rotate as pieces arrive and leave the room.

  • Tailoring

    Structure, weight, line.

  • Knitwear

    Hand-loomed, cashmere, wool.

  • Shirting

    Poplin, oxford, silk.

  • Trousers

    Drape, pleat, cut.

  • Outerwear

    Coats built for decades.

  • Leather

    Shoes, bags, small goods.

  • Objects

    Considered accessories.

  • Archive

    Rare and one-of-one pieces.

Our Ethos
“We do not chase collections. We listen for the pieces that will still feel right ten winters from now — and we bring them home.”
How we source

One roof, many hands.

01 — Search

We follow the ateliers and independent makers whose work sets our standard, wherever they are.

02 — Select

A garment enters Listening only if it earns its place — for its cloth, its cut, and the intent behind it.

03 — Present

Pieces are photographed slowly, described honestly, and offered in small numbers.

04 — Care

We stand behind what we sell — advising on fit, alteration and the long life of every garment.
